Melissa Porter, Esq.
Melissa Porter chairs the Foreclosure Practice Group at LOGS Legal Group LLP, where she leads a team navigating one of the most dynamic periods in default servicing. With more than twenty years of experience in real estate and creditors' rights, Melissa brings a practical, solutions-driven approach to foreclosure, litigation coordination, title-curative matters, and client service delivery.
Her current focus extends beyond traditional default work. Melissa is actively engaged in helping clients adapt to evolving regulatory frameworks, integrate technology-driven efficiencies into servicing operations, and anticipate shifts in the housing and credit markets. She views the intersection of compliance, data, and process innovation as the next frontier for creditors' rights practitioners.
Melissa earned her economics degree from Hamline University and her J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Admitted to the Minnesota bar in 2004, she launched her career in general practice with a focus on real estate and corporate law before dedicating herself fully to default servicing.
A recognized voice in her field, Melissa regularly speaks and writes on foreclosure trends, regulatory developments, and emerging challenges facing the mortgage servicing industry. She is committed to advancing collaboration and elevating best practices across the creditors' rights landscape — and to preparing clients not just for today's challenges, but for what's next.
