8:45-9:45 AM – General Session 1 – Pivot Under Pressure: Managing Rapid Change in Default Servicing – Grand Ballroom
- When HUD’s CWCOT guidance evolves and FHA issues new bidding mandates, law firms and servicers must adapt at speed—often while the ground is still shifting. This session uses the FHA bidding changes as a candid case study of how our industry handled a fast-moving policy shift, where we struggled, and how to build stronger, repeatable change-management mechanics going forward. Panelists will walk through the end-to-end lifecycle of implementing change—intake, impact assessment, client communications, SOP updates, training, QA/metrics, and post-mortems—and share practical artifacts firms can reuse. We’ll then expand to other accelerated changes affecting default operations most recently, and will look ahead to what is coming next, and how to prepare your playbook now—before the next mandate hits.
