Bankruptcy for Dummies is designed for practitioners who are new to bankruptcy law or looking to build a stronger foundation in the bankruptcy process. This introductory session will provide an overview of the most common bankruptcy chapters, including Chapters 7 and 13, with a brief discussion of Chapter 11, and explain how each can impact creditors' rights and servicing activities. Attendees will gain a practical understanding of the automatic stay, including its purpose, scope, and effect on collection efforts, with particular attention given to foreclosure actions and the considerations that arise when a borrower files for bankruptcy. Whether you are new to the industry or seeking a refresher, this webinar will offer valuable insights to help you navigate bankruptcy matters with greater confidence.
