Wright, Finlay & Zak now a Certified Women-Owned Business

WFZ was recently certified as a Certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise by the WBENC.
At the end of last year, one of our long-time partners, Gwen Ribar, purchased a minority stake in the firm.  While some of you may not be familiar with Gwen, we have worked with her on mortgage matters for close to 20 years.  During that time, Gwen has grown from a junior associate to partner and now owner.  Gwen's relentless commitment to client satisfaction has helped the firm grow from 6 attorneys exclusively in California to 62 attorneys covering Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii and California.  Gwen's addition to the firm's ownership is a natural and welcomed next step for the firm.

As an added bonus to including Gwen as an equity partner, the firm was able to meet the stringent standards to become a Certified Woman-Owned business.  We understand that the CFPB, FHFA and many of our litigation, compliance and transactional clients have diversity requirements.  Hopefully, our Certification will help them meet their goals.

Beyond the Certification, day-to-day management of the firm will remain the same.  Robin will continue in the role she has had for over 15 years, as the firm's Managing Partner.  Robert Finlay will continue to focus on day-to-day case management, attorney training, legislative initiatives and interfacing with our clients on the issues affecting the mortgage industry.  Gwen, our other 5 partners and the rest of our team will continue to represent our client's best interests in and out of the courtroom.
